Activities in Georgia

The main spearhead of the work of the Collegium Basilea in Georgia is the support of the Association of Modern Scientific Investigation (AMSI) which was founded in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 2000. The mission of AMSI is to promote scientific research and awareness in Georgia and the rest of the world. As well as the Journal of Biological Physics and Chemistry (JBPC) jointly published with the Collegium Basilea, AMSI also publishes Psyche: problems, perspectives; Academia, a journal of the human sciences; and the Georgian Journal of Neurosciences (GJN) jointly published with the Georgian Academy of Sciences.


Batumi International Research Centre (BIRC)

The Batumi International Research Centre (BIRC) was founded as a Department of the Collegium Basilea on 10 October 2010. Its Director is, ad interim, ex officio the President of the Collegium Basilea, and it is hosted by the "Shota Rustaveli" State University in Batumi. BIRC has taken over responsibility for the International Summer Schools programme.
